The tax reduction in the wage tax has been laid down in the State Decree, published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Suriname, 2025 no. 101.

This State Decree provides, among other things, for:

A. a broadening of the tax brackets for overtime;

B. an increase in the exemption for vacation allowance from SRD 10,016 to SRD 19,500 — this increase also applies to bonuses;

C. increase in the maximum mortgage loan amount eligible for interest deduction, from SRD 600,000 to SRD 871,500

Tax reduction measure A enters into force as of July 1, 2025, while measures B and C take effect as of January 1, 2025.
