Increasingly, agencies, services and other service providers ask for a tax statement before they serve you. Regardless of whether they can impose such a condition in the context of their services, the procedure for applying for a tax declaration is unnecessarily time-consuming and very (entrepreneur) unfriendly. Consider, for example, applying for an import / export number, renewing permits, applying for investment facilities and / or other services from the government and semi-government.

Please note that the average turnaround time for obtaining a tax statement is at least two weeks. This period can be longer if you have outstanding tax debts or if you have not met your (other) tax obligations. 

To obtain an import / export number from the Inspection of Import Duty & Excise, you must take into account a waiting time of at least two days. It is important that your application is complete upon submission.
